Ingredients

  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers red and green
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pre-made pie crust 9-inch
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell peppers, sautéing until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the diced ham and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. Stir in the sautéed vegetable and ham mixture, along with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Pour the egg mixture into the pre-made pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and lightly golden on top.
  8. Allow the quiche to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing in some diced jalapeños for a spicy kick.
  • You can substitute the ham with cooked bacon or sausage for a different protein option.
  • If you prefer a crustless quiche, simply omit the pie crust and bake the filling in a greased pie dish.
