For the Tuna Steaks
  • 4 pieces Tuna Steaks fresh, thick cut
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil for searing
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic finely minced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
For the Salad
  • 2 cups Lettuce washed and chopped
  • 1 cup Cucumbers diced
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes halved
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil for dressing
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar for dressing
  • to taste Salt

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper. Prepare garlic sauce ingredients.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear the tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. In the same skillet, lower heat, add minced garlic, sauté for 30 seconds, then add heavy cream. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Wash and chop salad greens; mix with cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  5. Plate tuna with creamy garlic sauce over it, and serve with fresh salad alongside.
