Method
 

Baking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Add the egg (or flaxseed mixture) and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add all-purpose flour and salt; stir until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, placing them on the baking sheet.
  6. Press your thumb into each dough ball to create a heart shape.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cookies cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  9. Once cooled, fill each indent with your desired jam.
