Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemongrass finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha adjust for spice preference
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for extra heat
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the vegetable oil, lemongrass, garlic, ginger, honey, soy sauce, sriracha, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the wings from the marinade and shake off any excess. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  5. Cook the wings in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once cooked, remove the wings from the air fryer and toss them in any remaining marinade for extra flavor.
  7. Serve the wings garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges on the side.
