Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork tenderloin cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish, optional

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground ginger, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Add the cubed pork to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove pork from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later.
  4. Add the pork to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the pork is cooked through.
  6. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
