Ingredients

  • 4 large turkey wings about 3-4 pounds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub this seasoning mixture all over the turkey wings.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the turkey wings and sear them for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the wings and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in the dried thyme and rosemary. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Return the turkey wings to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over them. Cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour. After an hour, remove the cover and bake for an additional 30 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken and the wings to become tender.
  8. Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
