  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika Optional but highly recommended.
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Flakes Fresh chopped jalapeños can add a spicier kick.
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt Adjust to taste based on dietary needs.
For Thickening
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste Add more for a thicker chili.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prep Ingredients: Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then dice them into cubes. Chop the onion and bell peppers, and mince the garlic cloves.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In your slow cooker, add the diced sweet potatoes, onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic. Then add the canned diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and all the beans. Season with cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, red chili flakes, and sea salt. Stir thoroughly.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 6-8 hours until the sweet potatoes are fork-tender.
  4. Thicken Chili: Stir in the tomato paste, cover, and let sit for an additional 10-15 minutes.
