Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and bring to a boil. Add orzo and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, warm olive oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and keep warm.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in chicken broth, lemon juice and zest, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in drained orzo and allow it to absorb the sauce for about 2 minutes.
  6. Return cooked shrimp to skillet, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and stir until melted. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
