  • Sesame Seeds Optional garnish that adds crunch and flavor.

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 pound of lean ground beef. Crumble the beef and cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring frequently until it is fully browned. Season the beef with 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Add 2 chopped green onions, 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce, and optional sriracha; mix well and remove from the skillet, setting aside.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 1 tablespoon of avocado oil. Once heated, toss in 4 cups of shredded Brussels sprouts. Sauté for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are soft and caramelized.
  3. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with the sautéed Brussels sprouts. Pour in 1/4 cup of sweet chili sauce and juice from 1 lime. Stir everything together, cooking for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and serve the Sweet Chili Ground Beef and Brussels Sprouts warm, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
