Ingredients

For the Casserole
  • 8 oz Canadian Bacon Feel free to swap with turkey bacon, ham, or cooked sausage for variety.
  • 6 pieces English Muffins Using sturdy, day-old sourdough can work in a pinch.
  • 8 Eggs Opt for large eggs for the best results.
  • 2 cups Whole Milk A dairy-free alternative works but may yield a thinner custard.
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Substituting with fresh onions can add a delightful crunch.
  • 1 tsp Salt Feel free to adjust according to your taste preferences.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can also be used for a bolder taste.
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground pepper is always preferable.
  • 1 tsp Paprika Ensure you use sweet paprika for a balanced flavor.
  • 0.5 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley Provides a pop of color and freshness as a lovely garnish.
For the Hollandaise Sauce
  • 1 cup Hollandaise Sauce Choose either homemade or a quality store-bought version to save time.

Equipment

  • 9×13-inch baking dish
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. Take half of the diced Canadian bacon and distribute it evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish. Follow with half of the English muffin pieces.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and whole milk until frothy, then add onion powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the layered ingredients.
  4. Cover the baking dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or ideally overnight.
  5. Remove plastic wrap, sprinkle paprika on top, and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and set.
  6. Let the casserole cool for about 10 minutes, then drizzle hollandaise sauce over and garnish with parsley before serving.
