Ingredients
  

  • 2 6-ounce salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes, then carefully flip them over.
  5. Drizzle the lemon juice and sprinkle the lemon zest over the salmon. Continue to cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
