In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until the peaches are well coated.
Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Pour half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken, spreading it evenly.
Arrange the seasoned peaches around the chicken in the baking dish.
Drizzle the remaining barbecue sauce over the peaches and chicken.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the peaches are tender.
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
