Ingredients

  • 2 6-ounce salmon fillets
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)
  • Orange slices for garnish

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly. Remove from heat.
  3. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides. Place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush the orange glaze generously over the top of the salmon fillets. Reserve some glaze for serving.
  5. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  6. Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and drizzle with the reserved glaze. Garnish with sliced green onions and orange slices.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as rice or steamed vegetables.
