  • 1 cup Warm Water around 110°F
  • 2 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast check for freshness
  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour can use bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
For the Garlic Butter Topping
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water with active dry yeast and granulated sugar. Stir gently and allow to sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Once the yeast is frothy, add in the all-purpose flour, melted unsalted butter, and salt. Stir until a shaggy dough forms, then knead lightly.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Transfer the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) as the dough rises.
  6. After the dough has risen, punch it down gently and divide into 12 pieces. Roll each piece into a long, thin breadstick shape.
  7. Place the shaped breadsticks onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  9. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Brush generously over warm breadsticks after baking.
