Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water with active dry yeast and granulated sugar. Stir gently and allow to sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Once the yeast is frothy, add in the all-purpose flour, melted unsalted butter, and salt. Stir until a shaggy dough forms, then knead lightly.
- On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Transfer the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) as the dough rises.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down gently and divide into 12 pieces. Roll each piece into a long, thin breadstick shape.
- Place the shaped breadsticks onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Brush generously over warm breadsticks after baking.

Notes
For soft and fluffy breadsticks, ensure yeast is activated properly, and do not skip the rising times.
