Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the pizza dough by allowing it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out the dough to a rectangular shape approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Layer the fillings: start with provolone cheese, followed by Genoa salami, pepperoni, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  4. Roll the Stromboli tightly from one edge and pinch the seams to seal.
  5. Position the Stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet and cut shallow slits on top.
  6. Whisk together the egg and water; brush it over the Stromboli and sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serve with marinara sauce.
