  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard or yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Freshly Chopped Chives or green onions
  • 2 cloves Garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 cup Guinness or Other Stout or non-alcoholic stout
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
For the Pretzels
  • 1 can Refrigerated Biscuits or any canned dough
  • 1 tbsp Baking Soda
  • 1 large Egg for washing
  • 1 tsp Coarse Salt or sea salt

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Cheese Dip for Pretzels
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté minced garlic in olive oil for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add whole milk and Guinness, let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Lower heat, add cream cheese and stir until melted. Gradually incorporate sharp white cheddar, mozzarella, and Gruyere cheese, stirring for 5-7 minutes until creamy.
  4. Cut refrigerated biscuits in half, shape into balls. Simmer the balls in boiling water with baking soda for 60 seconds, then drain.
  5. Arrange pretzel balls around the edge of a skillet with space in the center. Pour cheese dip into the center and sprinkle cheddar on top.
  6. Bake for 32-35 minutes until bubbly and pretzels are golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly, sprinkle with chives before serving hot.
