- Preheat the Oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook for about 7–10 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 3–5 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, cook for another 2–3 minutes, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread the meat mixture evenly across the bottom.
- Distribute the chopped bell peppers and sliced mushrooms over the meat layer.
- Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese over the vegetables.
- Place sliced black olives and pepperoni over the cheese layer.
- Add the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top of the casserole.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
