  • 2 pounds ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 4 cups cooked rice white or brown
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1 cup kimchi optional

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until fully browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the chopped green onions and sesame seeds, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. To serve, place a generous scoop of cooked rice in each bowl. Top with the bulgogi beef mixture, shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, and kimchi if desired.
  5. Enjoy your bulgogi beef bowls warm!
