Preparation Steps
- Combine warm water with sugar and sprinkle yeast over. Let sit for 10-15 minutes until frothy.
- In a larger bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil, stir to form a sticky dough.
- Cover dough and refrigerate for at least 12 hours to rise.
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Grease baking pan with melted butter, transfer and spread the risen dough.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Melt unsalted butter over medium heat until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then stir in cooled brown butter.
- Dimple the risen dough, drizzle the cinnamon topping evenly over it.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and the edges are crispy.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth for icing.
- Drizzle icing over the warm focaccia.
