Ingredients
  

For the Pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Thawed
  • 1 tablespoon Flour For dusting
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Chopped
  • 1 cup Feta Cheese Block feta preferred
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Optional
For the Topping
  • 1 large Egg For egg wash

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
  3. Add chopped fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, black pepper, and optional oregano.
  4. Roll out thawed puff pastry on a floured surface into a rectangle approximately 10 by 12 inches.
  5. Spread the cooled spinach mixture over half of the pastry rectangle and crumble feta cheese on top.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a pocket and press the edges to seal.
  7. Slice the pastry into 1-inch strips and twist each strip into a spiral shape.
  8. Whisk the egg and brush the egg wash over each twist.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.

Notes
