For the Creamy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Butter Unsalted is best.
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour Cornstarch can be used.
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Low-sodium works well.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Plant-based milk can be used.
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated is recommended.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, green onions, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a tablespoon of filling at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up.
  5. Dip each pillow in melted butter and roll in breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Melt butter in a saucepan and whisk in flour to form a roux.
  8. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk, letting it simmer and thicken.
  9. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until melted into the sauce.
  10. Serve the Chicken Pillows warm, drenching them in creamy Parmesan sauce.
