Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Marinate the Cod: In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Place cod fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Glaze: Pour remaining marinade into a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Preheat the Cooking Method: Preheat broiler, oven to 400°F, or heat oil in a skillet over medium-high; or preheat grill to medium-high.
  4. Cook the Cod: For broiling, place cod on a baking sheet, brush with glaze, and broil for 8-10 minutes. For baking, transfer to a dish and bake for 10-15 minutes until opaque. For pan-searing, cook in a skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden. For grilling, cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Plate the cod, drizzle with remaining glaze, sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve with lime wedges.
