Ingredients

  • 2 bone-in pork chops about 1 inch thick
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs such as oregano or basil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute, stirring to avoid burning.
  5. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and dried Italian herbs evenly over the pork chops.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
