  • 0.5 cup bourbon Can be substituted with brandy.
  • 1 cup apple cider Feel free to swap it with pear cider for variety.
For the Fruits
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced Use tart apples like Granny Smith.
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced Lemon can be a substitute if preferred.
For the Spices
  • 3 cinnamon sticks Use 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon as an alternative.
  • 2 inch fresh ginger, thinly sliced Ground ginger can be used (1/2 tsp) in place of fresh.
For the Herbal Touch
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary Thyme can be a suitable alternative.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine the thinly sliced apple and orange with the cinnamon sticks, sliced ginger, and rosemary in a large jar. Stir gently to release fragrances.
  2. Pour the entire bottle of dry red wine, 1/2 cup of bourbon, and 1 cup of apple cider into the jar. Stir gently to blend the flavors.
  3. Cover the jar tightly and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. When ready to serve, pour the sangria over ice-filled glasses for a refreshing twist or gently heat in a saucepan for a warm version.
  5. Garnish each glass or mug with additional fruit slices and a cinnamon stick for a beautiful presentation.
