Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Dorito Meatloaf Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the extra lean ground beef, Italian pork sausage, eggs, milk, and 2 cups of crushed Doritos.
  3. Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  4. Press half of the meat mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a separate mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing mix, and milk until smooth and creamy.
  6. Spread the cream cheese filling over the meat layer in the baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle the diced green bell pepper and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the cream cheese filling.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining meat mixture on top, pressing down to create an even layer.
  9. Bake for 40 minutes.
  10. After 40 minutes, remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and 1 cup of crushed Doritos on top.
  11. Return it to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
  12. Once baked, allow the casserole to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
