Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with liners.
- In a medium bowl, combine cold butter with flour, oats, and brown sugar; mix until coarse crumbs.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, milk, and chopped apples until fully blended.
- Carefully pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and fold until just combined.
- Fill each muffin liner about two-thirds full with the batter.
- Sprinkle the prepared streusel topping over each muffin.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove muffins from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
