Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Skillet
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef or turkey with garlic powder, onion powder, almond flour, egg, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until homogeneous, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, approximately 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Aim for around 12 meatballs.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Reduce heat to low, pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, and stir to combine. Add Parmesan, spinach, and basil, cooking until spinach wilts, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Place cooked meatballs into the sauce and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes before serving over low-carb base.
