  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • Pickles for topping

Method

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center.
  4. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
  5. Flip the patties, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted.
