  • 1 pound flank steak thinly sliced against the grain
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced flank steak and season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

  4. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, beef broth, sesame oil, and sugar.
  6. Pour this sauce over the broccoli in the skillet. Return the beef to the skillet and stir to combine.
