  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan or a similar baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and egg until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until evenly distributed.
  6. Using your hands, shape the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball) and place them in the prepared pan.
  7. If desired, sprinkle chopped parsley over the top for added flavor and color.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before serving. Pull apart and enjoy warm.
