In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 425°F.
Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Transfer to a greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle garlic powder evenly over the dough, then top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into strips, but do not cut all the way through.
Brush the melted butter over the top and sprinkle with dried parsley.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
