Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 pound thinly sliced steak such as ribeye or sirloin
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers any color
  • 1/2 cup sliced onions
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Stir in the mozzarella cheese.
  3. Pour in the milk and melted butter, mixing until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour until manageable.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the steak slices until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Add the bell peppers and onions, cooking until softened, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the cream cheese, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined. Remove from heat.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into strips, approximately 2 inches wide.
  6. Place a spoonful of the steak and cheese mixture at one end of each strip, then sprinkle with provolone cheese. Roll the dough over the filling, sealing the edges.
  7. Place the filled breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
