Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces rigatoni pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. In a bowl, toss the steak pieces with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. While the steak is marinating, cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add heavy cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked rigatoni and steak back into the skillet, tossing everything together until well coated in the sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the Cajun seasoning.
  • You can substitute the rigatoni with penne or fusilli for a different pasta shape.
