Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add salted butter. Whisk for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Combine the cooled brown butter with light brown sugar and granulated sugar, whisking until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and chai spices. Whisk together thoroughly.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Let the dough sit for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and chai spices, then mix in heavy cream.
  7. After cookies cool, frost half and sandwich them with the other half.
