Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
  • Lettuce tomato, and your favorite condiments for serving

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the whole wheat buns in a toaster or on a grill until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a turkey patty on each bun and topping with lettuce, tomato, and your favorite condiments. Serve immediately.
