In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Return the shrimp to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the shrimp to soak up the sauce.
While the shrimp is cooking, steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
To serve, place a scoop of cooked rice in a bowl, top with honey garlic shrimp, steamed broccoli, and sliced green onions. Sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish.
