Description
A delicious and juicy Worcestershire Butter Roast Beef recipe that is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 to 3 pounds beef roast (such as ribeye or sirloin)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
- Pat the beef roast dry with paper towels. Rub the Worcestershire butter mixture all over the roast, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to develop a nice crust.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F and continue roasting for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness (135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium).
- Remove the roast from the oven and cover it loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.
- Slice the roast against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the butter mixture.
- Try adding a tablespoon of Dijon mustard to the Worcestershire butter for an extra layer of flavor.
