Description
A delightful recipe for Sticky Lemongrass Chili Air Fryer Chicken Wings that are crispy, flavorful, and easy to make.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemongrass, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the vegetable oil, lemongrass, garlic, ginger, honey, soy sauce, sriracha, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the wings from the marinade and shake off any excess. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
- Cook the wings in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, remove the wings from the air fryer and toss them in any remaining marinade for extra flavor.
- Serve the wings garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a tangier flavor, add a tablespoon of rice vinegar to the marinade.
- Try using different types of hot sauce for varying levels of heat and flavor.
