Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Sticky Honey Garlic Pork that is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground ginger, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Add the cubed pork to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove pork from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later.
- Add the pork to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
- Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the pork is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- For a healthier option, substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar.
