Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Return the pork chops to the skillet, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and cold water to create a slurry. Stir this into the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve the pork chops smothered in the garlic sauce, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the pork chops in the garlic, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce mixture for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
