Description
A quick and delicious recipe for salmon fillets cooked in a garlic lemon butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes, then carefully flip them over.
- Drizzle the lemon juice and sprinkle the lemon zest over the salmon. Continue to cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic while sautéing.
- Serve the salmon over a bed of sautéed spinach or alongside roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
