- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Cooking spray or olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Dip each shrimp first into the flour mixture, shaking off the excess, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Arrange the coated shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or drizzle with a little olive oil for extra crispiness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through. If desired, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper to the flour mixture.
- You can substitute the shrimp with chicken tenders for a different protein option.
- Serve with a side of cocktail sauce or a squeeze of lemon for added flavor.
