Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Add the melted butter and milk, and mix until a dough forms.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in onion powder and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Flatten each piece into a circle about 4 inches in diameter.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each circle, followed by a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal.
- Place the stuffed dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- If desired, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding cooked bacon bits to the beef mixture.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- For a spicy kick, mix in some diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce into the beef filling.
