Description
Delicious and sticky honey BBQ chicken wings that are perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are crispy and cooked through.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika. Stir until well combined and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and toss them in the honey BBQ sauce until fully coated.
- Return the coated wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
- Try adding a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the sauce for a spicy kick.
