Description
A quick and easy recipe for delicious no-bake chocolate peanut butter cookies that require no oven and are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. Allow it to boil for 1 minute without stirring.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt until the peanut butter is fully melted and incorporated.
- Add the quick-cooking oats to the mixture and stir until well combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use a cookie scoop or two spoons to form the cookies.
- Let the cookies sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to set. If you want to speed up the process, you can place them in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
- Once set, enjoy your delicious no-bake cookies!
Notes
- For a chocolate chip variation, add 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips to the mixture after removing it from heat.
- Try substituting almond butter or sunflower seed butter for a different flavor profile or to accommodate nut allergies.
