Description
Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that combines tender salmon with a crunchy coating and a spicy bang bang sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another shallow bowl, place the flour. In a third bowl, add the beaten eggs.
- Dredge each piece of salmon first in the flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally coat it with the panko mixture. Place the coated salmon bites on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy.
- While the salmon is baking, prepare the bang bang sauce by mixing together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice in a small bowl.
- Once the salmon bites are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with the bang bang sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
Notes
- For extra crunch, try adding some grated Parmesan cheese to the panko mixture.
- If you prefer a lighter option, you can air fry the salmon bites at 400°F for about 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
