Description
A flavorful and creamy Cowboy Butter Chicken Linguine that combines tender chicken, linguine pasta, and a rich buttery sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 ounces linguine pasta
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the smoked paprika, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another minute to combine the flavors.
- Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the buttery sauce.
- Remove from heat, then stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice.
- Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- For a creamier sauce, consider adding 1/2 cup of heavy cream when mixing in the pasta.
- To make it spicier, add more cayenne pepper or a splash of hot sauce to the butter mixture.
