- 2 large French bread loaves
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, dried oregano, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Slice each French bread loaf in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese generously over the buttered bread.
- Place the prepared bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before slicing into pieces.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
- You can also substitute the mozzarella with cheddar cheese for a different flavor profile.
