Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds salmon fillet, skin on
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillet on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Brush the herb mixture generously over the top of the salmon.
- Arrange lemon slices on top of the salmon for added flavor and presentation.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the salmon in the herb mixture for 30 minutes before baking.
- Substitute the herbs with your favorites, such as dill or basil, for a different taste profile.
