Description

A delicious and crispy treat made with cauliflower, coated in a spicy buffalo sauce and cooked in an air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, mixing until a smooth batter forms.
  4. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated.
  5. Place the battered cauliflower florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches.
  6. Spray the florets lightly with olive oil to help them crisp up.
  7. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy.
  8. In a large bowl, toss the cooked cauliflower with buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
  9. Return the cauliflower to the air fryer for an additional 3-5 minutes to set the sauce.
  10. Remove from the air fryer and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a milder flavor, use a mild buffalo sauce or mix it with ranch dressing.
  • Add a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top of the cauliflower during the last few minutes of cooking for a cheesy twist.
